Corporate Videography & Industrial Photography Vadodara - Nikkiso Cosmodyne

The Project Overview

The Client: Nikkiso Cosmodyne India Pvt. Ltd. (Vadodara, Gujarat)

The Scope: Cinematic B-Roll, Authentic Employee Interviews, & High-End Industrial PhotographyThe Goal: Create a polished library of visual assets and corporate videos for both high-impact marketing and internal global alignment.

The Core Challenges

When a global leader in industrial engineering needs a media refresh, the logistics require absolute precision. During our pre-production assessment, we ran into four major challenges that needed to be solved before pressing the shutter:

  • Remote Supervision from London: The key creative visualizer for the project was based in London. We had to bridge the geographical gap to ensure the visual execution perfectly matched international brand guidelines.

  • The "Scripted" Hurdle: When we arrived, the employees chosen for the interviews were highly rehearsed, nervous, and trying to read from memorized scripts. This completely clashed with the natural, candid tone the client wanted.

  • Active Factory Noise: Ensuring crystal-clear, disturbance-free dialogue audio inside a fully operational engineering plant with heavy ambient industrial sound.

  • Initial Scope Misalignment: The client initially estimated that a single day of coverage would be enough. However, a deep creative assessment revealed that compressing interviews, cinematic video production, and industrial photography into 24 hours would severely damage the final quality.

The Purpose-Driven Strategy & Approach

1. Aligning Expectations (Pre-Shoot Consultation)

We conducted detailed virtual video conferences with the IT Head in India, the Vice President, and the Visualizer. By showing them a detailed technical breakdown of interview setups and lighting adjustments, we helped the stakeholders see the value of expanding the timeline. The client agreed to shift from a rushed 1-day shoot to a dedicated 3-day production schedule (2 days for cinematic video + 1 day for industrial photography).

2. The On-Site Recce & "Un-Scripting" the Team

A simple location walkthrough completely transformed this project. Recognizing that the 7 selected interviewees were intimidated by the gear, we sat down with them one-on-one without any cameras running. We explained the true purpose of the shoot, cracked a few jokes, and coached them to speak from their real day-to-day experiences rather than memorized blocks of text. This broke the ice and completely changed the energy on set.

3. Technical Execution & Audio Control

To combat the roaring sounds of the active plant, we deployed specialized, close-proximity high-end audio solutions to completely isolate the speakers' voices. For the visuals, we shot cinematic B-roll of the active production floor to pair with the interviews, while utilizing diffused lighting techniques during the photography day to manage the intense glare coming off the plant's high-precision stainless steel machinery.

The Business Impact & Global Results

By refusing to take shortcuts and taking the time to build genuine trust with the factory team, the final results exceeded expectations. The corporate videos delivered raw, authentic human stories, backed by striking, polished industrial imagery that met every standard set by the London creative team.

The Ultimate Win: Nikkiso Cosmodyne was so thrilled with the final assets and our strategic execution that they extended an invitation for us to handle the media production for their international facilities in Germany, South Korea, and the USA.

Key Lessons for the Industrial Sector:

  • Educate the Client: Inquiries often come from HR, IT, or administrative assistants who don't know the technical details of media production. It is our job to guide them through the timeline required for world-class results.

  • People Matter Most: Even in a heavy machinery plant, the human element is what sells your brand. Making your team comfortable on camera is just as important as knowing your camera settings.
